Hello all!

Marvellous. KCCO has a blog! Yay, hopefully this blog will help keep the bonds within the orchestra close. After all, we're one body, and together, we make up one family.

A huge family that has been through so much together.

I personally feel that as members of the orchestra, we control the music. Different scores, different tunes, but when we come together in our different section, we form one music. How the music turns out, depends on our passion. We can only touch the audiences' hearts if we can feel the music first. Melodious music may require skill, but skill alone is not enough. Feelings are essential.

Also, teamwork is important in the orchestra. If all of us play our scores at different speeds according to how we feel like it or if some of us decides not to come for practice and result in missing instruments, the music will not turn out well. We must work together.

Remember: Strength lies in differences, not in similarities.

Let's put in our very best for this upcoming EMDD by coming for practices punctually and playing the music with passion. After all, we are:

Katong Convent Chinese Orchestra
One Tune, One Love, One Orchestra
Together, a difference made.
Though practices are intensive, it will only be for a short period of time. After that, we can concentrate more on our academic studies, which most of us would like to do. =)
May your passion for the orchestra stay alive,
like an eternal flame burning on a candle,
never dying out.
With love, Eugenia
